A LITTLE ELF-HELP
How to Choose an Artificial Christmas Tree
The right tree starts with a tape measure. The bauble personality can come later.

Measure the whole festive footprint
Measure the ceiling height where your tree will stand, allowing extra space for a topper. Think about the width of the display too: doors should still open and there should be room to walk around it. A listed tree height does not tell you its full footprint, so check the product details before choosing a tight corner.
Choose 4ft, 6ft or 7ft
A 4ft artificial tree is an option for a smaller display. A 6ft tree gives you more space for ornaments without moving to our tallest size. A 7ft pine makes a larger centrepiece, provided your room has enough clearance. Our listings show the supplied height in centimetres as well as the familiar feet measurement.
Unlit or pre-lit?
An unlit tree lets you choose your own lighting style and placement. A pre-lit tree reduces the amount of separate lighting to arrange; our 6ft pre-lit Arbor Vitae fir has warm-white lights. Check the individual listing rather than assuming that every tree pictured with lights is supplied with them.
Read the photograph as well as the listing
Styled range photographs can show decorations and collars that are not included, and a range image can represent more than one size. Check the stated supplied height, lighting and accessory exclusions. Our tree collection makes those details clear so you know what you are ordering.
Plan the finishing touches
Choose a few repeat colours, mix bauble sizes and leave space for favourite individual ornaments. Once Christmas is over, follow the tree’s supplied care and storage instructions and keep its parts together for next year. All our artificial trees are listed for indoor use.
